Katharine B. Oates

Katharine Oates brings years of residential and commercial real estate experience, complemented by a strong law and economics background, to Weissman. In addition to a successful legal practice working closely with real estate agents, lenders and investors, she develops and teaches sought after residential real estate continuing education classes. Prior to joining the firm, Katharine successfully managed multiple offices handling residential and commercial real estate with an emphasis on real estate transactions, title clearance, and contract drafting and review for almost 20 years.
She is admitted to the State Bar of Georgia and the District of Columbia Bar and admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the Georgia Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia. Katharine serves on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association as well as the Governing Board of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Gwinnett. She is the co-author of Done Deal! A Real Estate Agent’s Guide to Mastering Negotiations.
Katharine and her two daughters, Harris and Katelin, live in Peachtree Corners. In her spare time, Katharine enjoys boating with friends and family on Lake Lanier, reading and writing.
