Mariam Akbar, an attorney in the firm’s residential real estate practice, guides clients from contract to closing with care and attention to detail. She works closely with buyers, sellers, agents, and lenders to make sure every step of the process is smooth and stress-free. Her work includes clearing title issues, reviewing surveys, and handling title insurance matters, all with a focus on creating a positive experience for her clients.

Before joining the firm, Mariam assisted clients across the Atlanta area in successfully completing their real estate transactions, where she was known for her personal approach and commitment to making each experience as seamless as possible.

As an active member of her community, she serves on the Oxford College Alumni Board as well as founding the Emory University APIDA Alumni Board. She routinely hosts events to encourage alumni networking, provide basic legal education, and collaborate with local organizations like CAIR-GA and AAAJ-ATL.

In her spare time, Mariam enjoys all Atlanta has to offer. She prioritizes supporting the arts through community events, live music, and can often be found at the High Museum. She likes to stay active through various fitness classes, wellness experiences, yoga, and spending time with Cairo, her rescue dog from Fulton County Animal Shelter.
