Bryan C. Brunson

Of Counsel

Bryan Brunson is an attorney in Weissman’s Litigation Section, where he represents contractors and general contractors throughout Georgia. For the past twenty years, his clients have primarily included closely held trade contractors and residential to light-commercial general contractors. Bryan built his practice working closely with construction firms to help them build and sustain successful businesses—providing guidance to avoid costly pitfalls, protect their operations, and, when necessary, pursue or defend litigation.

Now, with Weissman, while Bryan still assists his long-time clients with contract review/negotiation and business planning, his practice is currently focused on litigation and arbitration.  Specific areas of disputes include prosecution and defense of breach of contract, materialman’s lien perfection, Right to Repair Act defense and other construction-related issues. He also handles general business litigation matters including breach of contract, fraudulent conveyance of assets, piercing the corporate veil, non-competition and non-solicitation disputes, confidential information/trade secret issues, deceptive trade practices, negligent representation and fraud. In addition to construction-related fields, Bryan has extensive experience representing ticket brokers in both contract drafting and litigation/arbitration matters.

He is licensed to practice in the Northern District of Georgia United States District Court and in Georgia’s State, Superior, Court of Appeals and Supreme Court as well as licensed and actively practicing in the states of South Carolina and New York.

After graduating from Georgia Tech, Bryan was hired by Nokia Corporation as a Visual Basic programmer/analyst. Upon leaving Nokia, he attended and obtained his law degree from Emory Law School. He and his wife Anne Marie are members of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and he is an active member in the Knights of Columbus. Bryan also serves as an advisory member to the Offshore Racing Commission Board of the American Powerboating Association.
