Daniel Oliva, an experienced real estate attorney, counsels lenders, developers, and owners in a variety of transactional matters, with a primary focus on commercial asset-based lending and the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate assets. In addition, he defends the constitutional rights of property owners against condemnation authorities to ensure his clients receive just and adequate compensation as demanded by the United States and Georgia Constitution.
Prior to joining Weissman, Daniel represented the Georgia Department of Transportation and successfully negotiated complex deals involving multiple property owners, government authorities, and experts. He also initiated and litigated numerous eminent domain actions in courts across the state. Recently, Daniel used his experience to present at the 2022 GDOT Special Assistant Attorney General Seminar.
Daniel grew up in New York where he studied at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Manhattan. He earned a Juris Doctor at Michigan State University College of Law and studied legal project management at the University of Westminster, London through Michigan State’s Legal RND program.
