Allie C. Jett

Allie Jett, a partner in the firm's litigation practice, represents individual and corporate clients in a wide range of real estate-related disputes on both the trial and appellate levels. She has extensive experience in litigating contract, title to real property, ad valorem property tax, probate estate, and boundary/easement disputes. Allie often provides title insurance claims and coverage counseling and represents title insurance companies and their insured. She also frequently acts as a court-appointed Special Master in quiet title proceedings. Allie is admitted to the bar of all State of Georgia Courts, Northern District of Georgia Federal Courts, and the state courts of South Carolina. 

A frequent lecturer and presenter on real estate related subjects, her topics focus primarily on issues related to title litigation and ad valorem property taxation. She serves as General Counsel to the Georgia Association of Tax Officials (GATO) and is co-editor of the Georgia Property Tax Law Blog. Some of her presentations include:

  • “Judicial and Non-judicial Tax Sales” for the Tax Commissioners' Technology Development Council of Georgia, June 2014;
  • “Overview of the Tax Sale Process in Georgia” for the Atlanta Bar Association, Real Estate Section, November, 2013;
  • “Title Coming Out of Judicial Proceedings” for the Title Standards Seminar for the Georgia Institute of Continuing Legal Education, 2010 and 2011;
  • “Property Tax issues in Title Examination” 2008, Lorman Education Services;
  • “How to Avoid Becoming Unintentionally Entangled in a Mortgage Fraud Scheme” 2008, Lorman Education Services.

Allie is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Real Property Section and a member of the Real Property Section’s sub-committees on Title Standards and Ad Valorem Property Tax. She is also a member of the State Bar of South Carolina, Community Association Law Committee and a member of the Georgia Real Estate Fraud Prevention and Awareness Coalition (GREFPAC). She authored the chapter on ad valorem property taxation in The Red Book on Real Estate Contracts in Georgia and she is a frequent contributing author to the monthly publication, the Georgia Real Estate Law Letter. Allie has been named a “Georgia Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine (2012-2017).
